Terms of Service
Last updated: September 15, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Contrics, operated by the company identified on our Legal & Company Information page (“Contrics”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Contrics on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization.
Who we are
The registered name, address, enterprise number and contact details of the company that operates Contrics are published on our Legal & Company Information page.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Contrics. Contrics is intended for businesses and creators, not for personal use by children. By using the service you confirm you meet these requirements.
2. Accounts and authentication
You create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@contrics.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
3. Workspaces
Contrics organizes your data into workspaces. Depending on your plan, you may invite others to a workspace. The workspace owner is responsible for managing members and for the content and connected accounts within the workspace. Data in a workspace is isolated from other workspaces.
4. Connected accounts and OAuth
You may connect social accounts (Instagram, Threads, YouTube) to Contrics. When you connect an account, you authorize us to use the read-only permissions you grant to retrieve your analytics and content data, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you own or are authorized to connect each account and that doing so complies with the terms of the relevant platform. Contrics accesses connected accounts on a read-only basis and does not publish, delete, message, or otherwise modify content on them. You may disconnect any account at any time in Settings → Connections.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Contrics for any unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful purpose.
- Violate the terms, policies, or rights of any connected platform or third party.
- Upload or generate content you do not have the rights to, or content that is illegal, infringing, or abusive.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Resell or provide the service to third parties except as permitted by your plan.
- Use the service to build a competing product or to scrape it in an unauthorized way.
6. Your content and knowledge uploads
You retain ownership of the content you create in Contrics and the knowledge material you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content and material, and to share the necessary inputs with the AI and infrastructure providers described in our Privacy Policy, solely to operate and provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content and material you upload.
7. AI-generated content
Contrics uses AI to generate, improve, and analyze content and to produce insights and recommendations. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or resemble other material. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before you rely on, publish, or otherwise use it, and for ensuring it complies with applicable law and the policies of any platform where you use it. As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the content you generate through the service and are responsible for its use. Your statutory rights regarding the service itself, described in section 17a, are not affected.
8. Intellectual property
The Contrics application, its branding, and its underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms and your plan. You retain ownership of your content as described above. If you send us feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it to improve the service.
9. Subscription plans
Contrics offers a Free plan and paid plans (currently Growth and Pro), as well as Enterprise arrangements. Features, usage limits, and entitlements vary by plan and are shown in the app. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time in the Billing settings or the customer billing portal; changes take effect according to your billing cycle, and cancellation stops future renewals.
If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you before the new price applies. It takes effect from a later billing period, and you can cancel before then. Changes to plan features are subject to section 17a.
10. Credits
Certain AI features consume credits. Paid plans add a credit allowance to your balance each billing period, and you can purchase additional credit packs. If you enable automatic top-up, you authorize us to purchase a credit pack on your behalf when your balance runs low, until you turn it off. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable, except as described in section 12a.
Plan credits you do not use are not reset at renewal: they stay in your balance, and each new allowance is added to them. Cancelling or downgrading stops future allowances but does not remove credits already in your balance. Purchased credit packs do not expire. Daily free credits on the Free plan are refreshed each day and do not accumulate. Credits are spent in this order: free credits first, then plan credits, then purchased credits, so the credits you paid for separately are always used last.
11. Billing and payments
Paid plans and credit purchases are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method according to your selected plan until you cancel. The price shown at checkout is the amount that will be charged to you. Where VAT or other taxes apply, the applicable amount is shown before you confirm and on your invoice. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file.
12. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days, without giving a reason. Our Right of Withdrawal page explains the right in full, contains the model withdrawal form, and has an online withdrawal function. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
- Subscriptions. A subscription is a service. At checkout we ask whether you want it to start immediately, before the withdrawal period ends. If you ask for that and then withdraw within the period, you pay an amount proportionate to what was provided until you told us. You lose the right of withdrawal only once the service has been fully provided.
- Credit packs. Credits are added to your workspace at once. At checkout we ask you to request immediate supply and to acknowledge that, once the credits have been supplied, you lose the right of withdrawal for that purchase to the extent the purchase is digital content. Without that request and acknowledgement, we do not take the purchase.
Each of these requests is separate from accepting these Terms, is recorded with the exact wording you were shown and the time, and we email you a copy. Withdrawing from a contract is not the same as asking for a refund under section 12a: a withdrawal is handled under the law, not under that policy.
12a. Discretionary refund requests
Separately from the right of withdrawal, Contrics operates a discretionary refund policy for purchased credit packs, based on the credits from that pack that you have not used. If none of the credits from a pack have been used, you may be eligible for a refund of the full amount paid for it. If some have been used, the eligible amount is reduced in proportion to the credits you have used. Once all of the credits from a pack have been used, there is no remaining credit-based refund amount. Free and promotional credits are not refundable, and credits from one purchase are not counted towards another.
Plan subscription payments are not covered by that credit-based calculation, because a subscription pays for access to the service over a period rather than for a specific pack of credits; cancelling stops future renewals rather than refunding the current period. Any amount shown to you in the app is the maximum eligible under this policy, not a decision: refund requests are reviewed individually, and submitting one does not guarantee a refund. This policy does not affect your right of withdrawal (section 12) or your rights under section 17a.
13. Third-party platforms and integrations
Contrics integrates with third-party platforms and providers, including Meta (Instagram, Threads), Google (YouTube), Stripe, and AI and infrastructure providers. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the respective third party’s terms and privacy policies, including the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability or behavior may change outside our control.
14. Service availability
We work to keep Contrics available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and features may be added, changed, or removed. Some capabilities depend on third-party platforms and may be affected by their availability, rate limits, or policy changes. If you are a consumer, changes to the service are subject to section 17a.
15. Suspension
We may suspend or restrict your access if you breach these Terms, if your account poses a security or legal risk, if payment fails, or if required to protect the service or other users. Where practicable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
16. Termination
You may stop using Contrics and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for material or repeated breach of these Terms, or as required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page, except where retention is required by law.
17. Disclaimers
If you are a consumer, this section does not apply to you to the extent it would limit rights you have under mandatory consumer law. Your statutory rights, including the conformity rights described in section 17a, are not affected by anything in this section.
Otherwise, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that analytics, AI output, or third-party data will be accurate, complete, or continuously available.
17a. Consumer rights: conformity of digital content and services
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have statutory rights that we cannot exclude or limit. In summary, and without narrowing anything the law gives you:
- Conformity. The service must match its description, be fit for the purposes it is normally used for, and be supplied with the functionality and features you can reasonably expect.
- Updates. We will provide the updates, including security updates, needed to keep the service in conformity for as long as we supply it to you.
- Remedies. If the service is not in conformity, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity. Where that is not done within a reasonable time, or is not possible, you may be entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to terminate the contract, and to a refund of amounts corresponding to what was not supplied in conformity.
- Changes to the service. Where we change the service beyond what is necessary to keep it in conformity, and that change negatively affects your access or use other than to a minor extent, you may be entitled to terminate the contract.
To claim, contact us at support@contrics.com describing the problem. These rights sit alongside, and are separate from, the discretionary refund policy in section 12a and the right of withdrawal in section 12.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. If you are a consumer, this section does not limit the remedies described in section 17a or any other right you have under mandatory consumer law.
19. Indemnification
If you use Contrics for the purposes of your trade, business, or profession, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service, your connected accounts, or your breach of these Terms or of any third-party platform’s terms. If you are a consumer, this indemnity does not apply to you; you remain responsible for damage you cause in accordance with applicable law.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and the competent courts of Belgium have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in your country of residence or grants you the protection of its laws.
20a. Complaints and dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, contact us first at support@contrics.com; most issues are resolved that way.
If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve your complaint directly, you may be able to bring it to an alternative dispute-resolution body. In Belgium, the Consumer Mediation Service is the federal body for consumer disputes. Using it is voluntary and does not affect your right to go to court.
21. Future functionality
We may introduce features that are not available today, such as publishing content to your connected accounts or AI agents that carry out tasks on your behalf. Such features will be governed by these Terms (as updated) when released. Contrics does not publish to your connected accounts today.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect and update the “last updated” date above. If you do not agree, you can stop using Contrics and cancel before the changes apply. Where the law requires your agreement to a change, we will ask for it; otherwise, continuing to use Contrics after the changes take effect means you accept them.
