Right of Withdrawal

Last updated: September 15, 2026

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. This page explains the right, how it applies to a Contrics subscription and to a credit pack, and lets you withdraw online.

Under review. The precise legal classification of Contrics purchases, and therefore exactly how the withdrawal right and its exceptions apply, is being confirmed with legal counsel. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under applicable law. If anything here turns out to be narrower than the law allows, the law applies, not this page.

1. Who has this right

The right of withdrawal applies to consumers: individuals acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession who enter into a distance contract with us. If you are buying as a business, this statutory right does not apply to you, though our Terms may still give you options.

2. The period

You have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to withdraw, without giving any reason and without incurring any cost other than as described below.

3. How to withdraw

Use the online withdrawal function in section 7. It is the fastest route and gives you a confirmation by email. You may also email us an unequivocal statement, or use the model form in section 8. Any clear statement of your decision is enough; you do not have to use our wording.

To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your statement before the period expires.

4. What happens after you withdraw

We acknowledge receipt without delay on a durable medium (by email). Where the right applies, we reimburse the payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision, using the same means of payment you used unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not incur any fees for that reimbursement.

5. If you asked us to start before the 14 days were up

At checkout we ask whether you want your purchase to start immediately. The question is different for the two kinds of purchase, because the law treats them differently:

  • A subscription is a service. If you asked for it to start immediately and then withdraw within the period, you pay an amount proportionate to what was provided up to the moment you told us, compared with the full contract. You do not pay for what you did not receive. You lose the right of withdrawal only once the service has been fully provided.
  • A credit pack adds credits to your workspace at once. At checkout you ask for them to be supplied immediately and acknowledge that, once they have been supplied, you lose the right of withdrawal for that purchase to the extent the purchase is digital content.

Each request is recorded with the exact wording you were shown and the time, separately from your acceptance of the Terms, and we email you a copy.

6. Exceptions

EU law provides exceptions to the right of withdrawal. Two are potentially relevant to a service like Contrics:

  • Fully performed services. Where a service has been completely performed, and performance began with your prior express request and your acknowledgement that you would lose the right once it was fully performed.
  • Digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Where supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that the right is thereby lost, and we have provided confirmation on a durable medium.

Whether either exception applies to a particular Contrics subscription or credit pack is currently being confirmed with counsel. Until that is settled, we will not refuse a withdrawal on the basis of an exception we have not confirmed applies. If you believe you are entitled to withdraw, use the online function below and we will handle it.

7. Online withdrawal function

Withdrawing online takes two steps: choose Withdraw from contract here, tell us which contract, then Confirm withdrawal. When you confirm:

  • We record your withdrawal with the date and time, exactly as you submitted it.
  • We send you a confirmation by email to keep, showing what you submitted and when.
  • Our team reviews it and contacts you about what happens next, including any amount to be reimbursed.

A withdrawal is not a refund request, and submitting one is not a refund decision. It is handled under the law, separately from the discretionary refund policy in our Terms.

8. Model withdrawal form

You may copy the text below and send it to support@contrics.com. Completing and sending it is optional; any clear statement works.
